Lorraine also creates wool art. Her artwork uses both wet and needle felting techniques. Many of her early themes were created in response to being evacuated for nearly a month during the Dixie Fire in Plumas County, California in 2021. Our home was just barely saved by firefighters' efforts. Close to a million acres burned and destroyed the towns of Greenville, Indian Falls, and Canyon Dam: our local communities. So much land and so many hearts in need of healing. Creating art was a path to personal healing from the trauma and continues to be an avenue for expressing her inner spirit.
All the wool "paintings" displayed here have found homes. New works can be seen at the
Plumas Art Gallery.
